Events of 2001-2002:
FALL QUARTER:

Special tour with Getty Research Institute Curator, Francis Turpack of the Devices of Wonder exhibition at the Getty Center. Panel discussion with recent graduates of the program offering their first experiences in the field.

WINTER QUARTER:

Tour with Morgan P. Yates of the Automobile Club of Southern California Archives. Our chapter gained insight into an atypical corporate archive, which has the duel purpose of managing their institutional archives, while collaborating on exhibitions featuring popular culture aspects of the AAA collections, including automotive history, city development, and tourism.

SPRING QUARTER:

We were pleased to have a practical, instructive roundtable talk with Jackie Dooley, who discussed professional involvement and career options with our student chapter members. Tour with curator, Carolyn Cole of The Los Angeles Public Library Photographs Collections. Several of our student chapter members attended the SCA conference in San Diego and the SAA Conference in Birmingham.
