| Research & Instruction Librarian Antioch University - Keene, NH Antioch University New England is accepting applications for this fulltime core faculty position. This position promotes and provides research and information literacy instruction to faculty and low-residency graduate students in classroom settings, individual consultations, and in online synchronous and asynchronous forums such as email, chat, video conferencing. The Librarian's core constituency is Antioch's Department of Environmental Studies, and other departments and programs as needed. As a member of the library team, this position provides all library services as needed. Candidates must have broad knowledge and understanding of trends in research, information literacy instruction, and information services and issues in higher education, including open access and student outcomes assessment. This appointment requires engagement in four areas of faculty practice: engagement in student learning, scholarship, service and institutional citizenship. Successful candidates are able to leverage technology in innovative ways, and demonstrate a strong commitment to user service and collegiality by which they would support masters and doctoral level teaching and research at Antioch. Application will also require: ALA accredited MLS or MLIS Library research experience using traditional and electronic information services and tools Familiarity with issues in the provision of personal library services to on-campus and off-campus students Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing information and technology environment Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Eagerness to tackle challenges in graduate research service with energy and good humor Excellent interpersonal and team building skills Preferred qualifications include: Professional academic library experience Subject expertise as demonstrated by a masters degree, undergraduate major, or significant experience in Environmental Studies or Biology Experience connecting creatively with an off-campus student population Experience creating web based tutorials and other instructional materials A zeal for technological innovation A record of successful interaction with faculty, students, staff, and administrators in an institution of higher education To apply: send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and three references to hr.aune@antioch.edu with "Research & Instruction Librarian Search" in the subject heading.
