|Position||Design Assistant, Asset Management|
This is a new position that reports to the Design Administration Manager. The Design Assistant – Asset Management maintains inventory, manages and curates the physical database of records, media, and fabric and provides support and access of collections for Glen Raven associates. This collection includes the Sunbrella brand. Additionally, manages digital asset management (DAM) repository including tracking, reporting, check in and out, input of metadata and classification standards for Design.
Major Accountabilities / Essential Duties:
Monitor the environmental conditions of showrooms rooms and storage facilities/locations
Support the preservation of all collections by ensuring that items are appropriately stored, handled, etc.
Continue to add to number of items featured in the DAM system and to improve the ability to search database
Collaborate with Creative Department to manage high-resolution photograph process
Assist as liaison with Information Technology team
Schedule all appointments with vendors for design, including lunch orders and fabric giveaways
Cross train in other Design Assistant positions and assist with those duties as required
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in business, textiles, or related field or equivalent education and related training desired
Minimum experience of 2 years in physical and digital archives management experience
Highly developed computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe, other asset management systems)
Photography skills preferred
Complete duties with accuracy in an organized manner with thorough attention to details
Ability to work individually as well as on a team; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Able to lift rolls between 25-30 pounds when needed
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and reach for shipping and cutting materials when needed
Comfortable working with large sharp scissors and other cutting devices when needed
