NYU Division of Libraries seeks a subject specialist in Russian and Slavic Studies, serving the Department of Russian and Slavic Studies.

Librarians play a key role in the educational mission of NYU by establishing strong relationships with faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates, and connecting them to the services, content, and tools that meet their research, teaching, and learning needs.

This position serves as the primary library liaison to Russian and Slavic Studies, with special emphasis on building and curating collections in all formats; continuing a program of extensive instructional, consultation, and research support services; and developing responsive and innovative information and research services. Additionally, the successful candidate will coordinate bibliographic control for resources in Slavic languages, including original and copy cataloging following national standards.
