- A FREE workshop on paper marbling and pattern programming using Processing led by Rebecca Chamlee of Pie In the Sky Press and Casey Reas of the UCLA Arts Software Studio.
- Hands-on: marbling paper and digital pattern making.
- Wear comfortable clothes, shoes and bring laptops and chargers!

We will be selling the cards around lunch time in front of YRL (check out our Facebook page for the latest times) or on Tuesday (2-6) and Thursday (3-5) afternoons at Broad 4258!

The Horn Press is pleased to announce our 2012-2013 Holiday Card Workshop! Join us for a linoleum-cut workshop where you can learn how to carve your own linoleum block design and use it to print holiday cards! A cost of $5 includes all materials and instruction. To have your fee waived, you can bring your own 4x5, mounted linoleum blocks (similar to these: http://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-battleship-gray-linoleum/). Please have a design in mind or print a copy of your design (with the image reversed). For participating in the workshop, you will receive one proof of your print and two holiday cards (envelopes included).

Paper Marbeling Workshop

With generous funding from the Campus Programming Committee Mini Fund, the Horn Press is pleased to present its first PAPER MARBLING WORKSHOP. The workshop will be led by Rebecca Chamlee, book artist, adjunct faculty at Otis School of Art, and owner of Pie in the Sky Press. The workshop includes three hours of instruction, followed by (at least) three hours of free time for your own practice. Each participant will be able to take home many sheets of marbled paper that can be used in all kinds of craft and book art projects. You will find that paper marbling is addictive! Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Also note: we will be using acrylic paints, and the process is MESSY. Do not wear anything you care about keeping neat - including shoes!

Origami Accordian-Fold Book Workshop October 26, 2006
Jillian Wallis, Horn Press founding member will be providing her knowledge, skill and enthusiasm to us this next Wednesday evening, 6-8pm, in GSE&IS room 245. In this 2-hour workshop you will have the opportunity to make an accordion-fold book, embellished with decorative papers and origami, as well as learn proper folding and gluing techniques. Your book will make an excellent gift for a friend or for your own personal use. Cost: $10, includes all materials.

Annual Holiday Card Sale! November 29th - December 2005 From Thanksgiving until we run out (or are called away by vacation!) hand-printed holiday cards from horn press will be on sale. Four designs were available, printed at Meghan O'Neill's printing studio from linoleum blocks.
