Informatics Journal - Katie Shilton
- Tuesday, February 19, 2008
- GSE&IS Salon - 2nd Floor
- 12:30 - 1:30PM
Join us for a casual and informative conversation on privacy and security.
Featuring our own UCLA IS doctoral candidate, Katie Shilton, whose research interest is on privacy.
We will be using Hayes et al's "Physical, Social and Experiential Knowledge in Pervasive Computing Environments" article as a starting point for discussion about how individuals experience the information boundaries of places and spaces, and how to envision design that respects those boundaries.
Printouts of the featured article can be picked up at the MIT Lab - Reserves Shelf, or online (UCLA VPN/proxy required for access).
Healthy snacks will be provided to supplement your lunch.
All are encouraged to attend - even to just listen!
