Stacey McKeever

Stacey (class of '97), is the Digital Archivist for Disney Online, a business unit of the Walt Disney Internet Group (DIG) and has been with DOL for 7 years (yikes!) Her specialization is information access within special libraries (metadata, how the user base searches, etc.) Stacey also teaches the online searching class for the Department.

Michael Campbell
Training Coordinator for Amgen Libraries

Michael currently serves as the Training Coordinator for the Amgen Libraries. Amgen is a leading biotech company that develops important therapeutics, and the science library plays a key role in supporting Amgen's research process. Michael develops library classroom training, facilitates online instruction, and creates e-learning materials that assist the global audience of Amgen scientists to efficiently use a growing cache of library resources. He also works to raise awareness and market these resources to the Amgen community.

Like many of you, Michael will graduate with his MLIS from UCLA in the spring. Even though he works in a science library, Michael has no previous experience in the science field whatsoever. He has background in corporate training and retail management, and an undergraduate degree in English. He has already learned during his short career as a librarian that the skills acquired in library school can translate into any number of interesting careers - and that subject expertise is not always required.

Paul LaMotte Sr
Assistant Manager of Operations/Records Management & Independent consultant

Paul LaMotte has spent most of his professional life working at different levels of management with records management service companies. He was first exposed to records management by accident. While working a part-time job and pursuing his degree in mechanical drifting at Northridge, the opportunity presented itself to manage a microfilm service company in Beverly Hills. After completing his education, he decided to stay with microfilm and expand his role in the company. After many years and after seeing the progress in the industry, he decided to make records management his career. He has completed many hours of training in all forms of records management from microfilm to electronic imaging and has lectured at the college level. He currently works for a Pension and Health Plans company in Los Angeles as Assistant Manager of operations/Records management specialist and has his own consulting company in Inglewood.
