The American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) student chapter at UCLA strives to educate fellow students on technological aspects of the Library and Information Science field. We are committed to presenting programs that will enrich the academic lives and professional futures of our members.

The student chapter of ASIS&T provides students of the UCLA Department of Information Studies with an active connection to local and national ASIS&T members, activities, and goals. It will also aim to help students pursue their interests within the field of information science and technology through the activities and goals of ASIS&T and the Department of Information Studies.

Ongoing projects and programs such as the Informatics Wiki and the Informatics Blog support this intellectual spirit by engaging student interest in the process of building a community of practice among the LIS community.
