The UCLA AMIA Student Chapter invites you to a night in Hollywood

First, a tour of The Hollywood Entertainment Museum

When: Friday, May 3 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Price: $4.00 with student ID

"Hollywood Entertainment Museum celebrates Hollywood the place and the entertainment arts of film, television, radio, sound recording and new media. The 33,000 square foot museum features technologically advanced, interactive exhibits, memorabilia, special exhibitions, a six-minute multi-screen video presentation and a studio backlot tour. The experience culminates in a visit to the original sets of Star Trek and Cheers. Designed to educate and entertain, a variety of programs and tailor-made tours are available to groups and individual visitors."

Followed by dinner at Miceli's

Then a screening at the Egyptian Theatre of the Michael Powell film, "I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING" 7:00 p.m. New 35 mm. Print!! I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING, 1945, MGM/UA, 91 min. Written, produced and directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. Along with Jean Vigo's L'ATALANTE, this is our choice for the most heartbreakingly romantic film ever made. The great Wendy Hiller stars as a girl determined to marry for money, not love - until she finds herself trapped by high seas in a small Scottish town with local laird Roger Livesy. As the days go by, Hiller becomes more and more desperate to leave - not realizing that her life's destination has already, magically, irreversibly, changed.
