Meeting time: 12:45 p.m.
- Officers introduction
- Brief explanation of the Mentorship Program.
- Vice-Presidents Mike & Phoebe discussed the themes planned for the upcoming year as well as proposed speakers for future meetings.
- Applications for ALA student membership were passed out and collected to attendees.
- Announcement of upcoming mixer at the Westwood Acapulco on Friday, October 14 at 4 pm including directions on the department website.
- Jon introduced the sale of snacks in the commons including granola bars and beverages in the fridge.
- Book sale began at $5 per textbook (unless otherwised indicated) and a quarter for various donated titles.
- Upcoming elections were announced for this year.
- Announcement for volunteer readers at the Latino Book & Family Festival on October 22/23.
