Meeting Called to order at 12:30
- Officers and members introduced
- Textbook Sale [Brian]
- Reported amount of profits gained= $72
- Announced details for Spring Textbook sale
- Scheduled for first week of Spring Quarter
- All donations for textbook welcome
- Textbook grant details
- Raffle to be held at end of winter quarter to allow ample time for winner to use money for Spring quarter books
- Eligibility: those who have donated books for sale during either Spring Quarter 2004, Fall Quarter 2004, or Winter Quarter 2005
- Raffle to be held by ALA advisor Professor Lynch.
- YALSA Student group introduced
- New group started at UCLA Fall Quarter dedicated to young adult issues and events
- Contact person is Amy Pelman
- Upcoming Events
- Tours of LAPL Central branch and Cerritos Public Library
- Arrangements are underway
- Possible date March 10 (Thursday week 9)
- T-Shirt design contest
- We are looking for artistic people to help come up with the Information Studies t-shirt for this year.
- In conjunction with other student organizations the deadline is April 11th.
- Flyers are available and posted throughout building for more information
- RORA Training- Its not too late to get involved
- Next scheduled training session for Spring Quarter is tentatively April 7th (Thursday of week 1)
- Virginia Walter to do storytelling skills training
- I.S. Social for Spring Quarter
- Tentatively at Library Ale House (Santa Monica)
- Suggested future location: Literary Café
- Last day to participate in "ALA Ahead to 2010"survey promoted
