1. Overview of Organization for New Officers
2. Brainstorming for Fall Quarter 2004
- New Student Orientation/ITW lunch –Introduction to ALA student chapter
- In pairs, officers will introduce ALA student chapter to new students during two new student orientations [9/8 and 9/9] and one ITW lunch [9/17]
- Wednesday 9/8: Alison Kelly & Brian Provenzale
- Thursday 9/9: Erica Tang & Myleen DeJesus
- Friday 9/17: Jamie Hazlitt & Joanna Fabicon
- Used Book Sale Date and Time/ Drive
- To be held on Monday, October 4, 2004 at 1p.m. [week 1]
- Email soliciting for books to be sent Thursday, September 16 to all pertinent listservs (Jamie and Brian)
- Flyer for date/time of event to go up in/around building on Friday, September 17 (Erica)

- First General Meeting/ Membership Drive
- Scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2004 at 1p.m. [week 2]
- Set up time with Lydia (Erica)
- Announce Elections, open positions and time frame process
- Brainstorm with members for further activities/events for Fall quarter
- Elections [timeframe scheduling] for offices of Secretary and Vice President
- Elections timeframe: October 14-29 [weeks 2, 3 and 4]

- Email/Flyers soliciting nominations for available positions during week 2 (Jamie, Brian, Erica, Beth)
- Nominations end Friday, October 22 [week 3]
- Ballots to be drawn up and voting from Monday, October 25 until Friday, October 29 [week 4]
- Elected to be announced Friday, October 29 [week 4]
- Creating/updating ALL officer listserv/ALL officers meeting
- Consult David Cappoli about creating/maintaining listserv for ALL organization officers (Erica, Brian)
- [After elections] Schedule an ALL officers Meeting with SGB, ALE, SLA, SAA, ASIST and Horn Press in hopes of creating a working calendar of events and collaborative efforts.
- CLA Conference/ ALA Midwinter Conference
- Discussed officers attending CLA Conference [California Library Association] held November 12-15 in San Jose, California [week 6] and ALA Midwinter Conference held January 14-19, 2005 [Winter Quarter week 1-2]
- Consult Cindy Mediavilla about possible registration waivers for CLA to be raffled off to members (Myleen)
- Consult ALA liaison about possible ALA waivers (Joanna, Alison)
