Meeting called to Order at 12:45pm (Heather)
Upcoming Events:
- Panels: Flyers will go up for the following:
- Library Leadership on May 18th
- Outreach Librarianship June 8th
- Officer Elections: - Open Positions are President, Treasurer and Publicity Officer
- May nominate self and/or others – (Week 6)
- Recommend doing “co-positions” to split up work
- Send nomination and campaign statement to Heather and Ajit
- Ballots handed out (Week 7)
- Elections held (Week 8)
- Announcements (Week 9)
Discussion:
- Explanation of officer positions, duties, etc. See agenda for write-up of responsibilities. (Heather, Shana)
- Answered the question of what is ALA’s mission statement and how involved ALA is with the National. Gave example of our work with ALA on the Spectrum Scholar celebration, Michael Moore event. (Heather, Shana)
