the Student Ambassador opportunity
Committees
• Joy Feldman asked for an explanation of the difference between
the ALA Midwinter and ALA National conferences
Greg & Kelly explained:
• Midwinter
o Working meeting, smaller, less programming, fewer vendors, fewer
recruitment activities, fewer students
• Annual
o ALA general business, awards, ceremonies, official functions,
banquets, more social activities, more people, lots of vendors,
lots of programming, lots of recruitment, students present, etc.
• Joy Feldman asked if this was the first time the national conference
would be held in Canada
This will be a joint conference of the ALA and the CLA (Canadian
Library Association)
2004 national conference will be in Orlando
