Becoming a member of ALA gives you a free subscription to American Libraries magazine, discounted access to ALA's annual and winter conferences, and the chance to participate in some of the many divisions and roundtables focused on issues and interests of all kinds. When you also join CLA, you will find an organization with a focus specific to California, excellent for networking and local interests.
